Phillips Services (Wales) worked with the Environmental Agency to relocate the strategic Tide Gauge from the old lifeboat station to the new lifeboat station on Mumbles Pier. This included the relocation of the control equipment, bubbler system and underwater sensor equipment.
As a HSE approved Diving Contractor and utilising our rope access skills, we installed new mid and full tide bubblers on the RNLI lifeboat station at Mumbles. This project involved using non-invasive and non-destructive attachment of cabling, containment and pneumatic piping to the pier stanchions from the slipway to the sea bed. By utilising rope access it help with value engineering and saved the client money which would have been spent on work barges and scaffolding in one of the worlds largest tide range areas.
